Some random thoughts to improve:
Hopefully, they get a better budget for the second season. The hospital fight scene could have been money. I also thought the CDC explosion was pretty weak. I do love the looks though of ATL without traffic.
As far as locations, Alcatraz or another island would be a good choice to camp for a while. Once they killed off all the local zombies. They could live off of fishing and maybe even grow a garden. It would also provide a means to which to establish normalcy for a while. The only issue being island/cabin fever. I also noticed around the CDC they had some 50 caliber machine guns. They need to grab that shite and ammo every chance they get to store it in one of the vehicles. Speaking of, they need to get a UHaul or something instead of the RV to haul supplies. An old military 6x6 would be appropriate because it would easily mow over zombies without causing radiator damage.
They need to have more than one story line for couple. The Rick/Andrea/Shane thing will be good for maybe another half season and they will have to get some shite straight. The hot blonde would be an obvious choice for Shane IMO.

Read WWZ first. TZSG is very dry and you can get bogged down reading it. It is perfect for reading on the toilet. If you start reading WWZ, you won't want to put it down.
Hmmm...well maybe I'll switch then.
I do find that TZSG is written at a seemingly VERY elementary level, which is pretty annoying. But I'm only about 15 or so pages into it, and figure that I'll enjoy it more when it starts getting into actual strategies and whatnot.
I may pick up WWZ this afternoon and give the first 5 pages or so a read and see if I want to tackle that one first.
Remember...reading a book for me is a pretty huge deal. I haven't read a book since I was like a freshman in college, and don't think I've ever read a book that I wasn't forced to read (via school).

Attention all: LSUZombie has read the comics! He knows what's going to happen! Everyone acknowledge that and praise him so he can shut the frick up like we asked him to do in the first week.
He can be a know it all in a movie board thread, can't pass up that high honor!!!!
Hey look at me, I know what's gonna happen!

makes me sad to think this thread full of win will die since the season is over....

I wouldn't worry about it. The tv series isn't following the comics.
It still doesn't matter. As intentionally obnoxious as Gyno and LE are being, they have a good point. There is already a comic discussion thread for people to discuss those and the spoilers they contain.
And this show is, at worst, loosely following the comics anyway, so yeah...shite that happens in the comics can easily be on the show. And those of us who choose not to read the comics obviously don't want to know what happens and don't want to be spoiled on what's going to happen (even if it's just potentials).
This thread is about the TV show, and everything contained within that. Future shite in this thread should be nothing more than speculation based on what we already know that happened ON the show. If you want to talk about what parts of the comics you can't wait to see on the show, then there is a thread for that (and this isn't it).
Also, it's just a douchebag thing to do to post spoilers about shite. The only logical reason to do it is to attempt to ruin it for others.

Mother frick, dude...stop posting the comics in here.
ETA: I've hidden what I think is the "obvious spoiler" that people are talking about, as well as the posts containing snippets from the comics. Although the show is straying somewhat from the comic, the comics are still the source material and will obviously contain, at the very least, potential spoilers. (and I'm not saying that CR posted explicit spoilers from the comics, but a line has to be drawn somewhere in regards to posting shite from the comics, so the best line is to just avoid all comic talk).
So let's please leave any and all comics talk to the other thread made for just that, and keep this thread focused on the show and its aspects.

Dude, get over yourself. I posted a fricking epilogue of the first issue that acknowledged the god damn purpose of the series, which mind you has been discussed for thirty fricking pages...there was nothing in that snippet that even remotely spoiled anything for you.
The second snippet was merely acknowledging my point that they ripped the opening scene from 28 days later, which backed up my original comment.
Bunch of fricking Nazis up in this thread; yeah, I'm looking at you Cokes. Nothing in those snippets spoiled a god damn thing. Stop acting like whole god damn series is over for you.

After watching all the episoses I must say this is a great series.
I had no idea how you would have a TV show about a Zombie apocalypse.
You really care about the charecters, even the a-hole redneck who you are made to hate in the begining you grow to like.
Great show, six episodes is not enough though.

I looked back to October and didn't see anything...
where is the Walking Dead Comic thread?
Just asking... I have some questions on it.

It's still ridiculous Cokes and bumping some obscure LSUZombie thread, from a month and half ago doesn't justify your muscling of this thread...so now there is absolutely nothing to discuss for the next ten months, which those two snippets had potential to stir debate. Congratulations.

It's ridiculous to try to prevent spoilers from the comics from being posted in this thread? The spoiler level has increased in this thread, from something as simple as "someone has guessed right" to people posting outright spoilers and now snippets from the comics being posted (again, I realize that you did not specifically post spoilers, but what if other people start posting other shite from the comics?). It seems like most people don't want spoilers in this thread, and it's just a potentially slippery slope.
With spoilers on something this popular, I kinda think we should err on the side of caution. Hell, maybe I'm wrong on that...and if I am, people can let me know and I'll gladly bring back the shite you posted.
You really think that there will be a constant Walking Dead discussion for the next ten months until the new season..??
Even if that thread is exactly what you're looking for....which is debate on the comics compared to the show? Also, that thread was posted in 15 days ago.

You win Cokes; I give. It's not worth arguing over. No more snippets.

What the hell happened to MJC? I liked reading his stories/scenarios.

Lot of sensitive people in this thread now, must be zombie withdrawal syndrome (or ZWS) secondary to the first season of TWD being over.
Unfortunately, cures for ZWS will not be available until October 2011.
