The acting has gotten better sans Nora. As far as the feeding, they treat the vampires as a parasite/disease/new organism.

Yeah it's more of personal preference. I wanted to like that parasite spin on it but I'm just not feeling it. I'm a big vampire genre fan and I just wish they'd lose the tongue.
I'm still enjoying the show more and more every week tho. We need some characters that we give a shite more if they live or die too. Other than the mexicans mom, I don't care about the terrible ex, the son or Nora.
I do like the ensemble of vampire hunters that are being put together and the general idea of the eclipse happening and the vampires just licking their chops, waiting to come out.

Once "The Fall" gets going it should be pretty good. I'm worried about the last book. That one fell off.

i'm really trying to like the show. i love the premise of the show.. the assistant chick is kinda hot lol. I want to like the show. but there is no scenario on earth where you got fricking blood sucking worms crawling out of an airplane and everyone is doing everything in their power to not shut down the city. '

I was like "yeah, I watch it. It's fine." He was nice enough. There was more conversation, but let's just say, when dealing with a guy who has 3 children (one 20, one 18, and the other 15) by the age of 35 and told his children to not pursue an education, only has so much in common with me.

WOW! So that was his pick up line? Sounds like a winner! That's unfortunate that he teaches his kids not to value education ...he should also let them know that, when you don't pursue an education you get to spend more time at work just to pay the bills. Yay!
My Dad always taught me that I should always strive to put myself in a position where three things are working for me or in my favor... people, time, and money. Time spent getting an education is time rewarded with your family and friends.
BTW, you and I must look alike since we both watch Strain.
DallasTiger - I suggest you stop trying to make since of it and try watching it for pure entertainment value.

The actors? I don't mind Eph. I feel he's more the product of bad writing but he's getting better.
Nora, the ex-wife, the ex's boyfriend, the rich old man, Mikey, Eph's kid, the four survivors.. They're all just so bad.
Like I said earlier, I do like all the vampire hunters and it seems that a lot of the characters that bother me probably won't last long so I'm good.

Yeah, it was awkward. The dude was like "my oldest keep talks about wanting to go off for schooling or some shite. I told him he's stupid to want that. I told him just go find some factory to work for and that's all you need for a career." I got up and walked away to keep from telling him what I thought of that. Then, when I came back, he started on why he hates southern sports and Georgia sports in particular. I bit my tongue.

Yeah I guess when I made my comment I was thinking of Richard Sammuel (the vamp badass?), Sean Austin (Eph rogue co-worker), Cory Stoll (Eph), Kevin Durand(the pest control guy), Jonathan Hyde (rich old man) meh, and David Bradley (the old Jewish vamp assasin).

I guess the saying, "ignorance breeds more ignorance" (derived from Hate breeds Hate) is true... 
We've got to have all kinds to make the world go around. As long as they honestly are trying to get that job and working for a living I'll respect the effort. It's sad when parents limit their children's potential though. Especially when we are currently seeing the rapid disappearance of those type of jobs in America.

Really liked this episode. What was Lord Frey shooting at the vamps? Was it nails? Does iron hurt vamps in this universe?
So Gabriel Iglesias got a vamp worm in him. It's about to get real in the Bario.
More Keamey. To me he's the best character on the show. Durand usually plays a badass so hopefully this character starts wrecking shop.
Eclipse scene was cool. The media will have to pick up on this now....right?

So in this universe sunlight kills them with the quickness(time to bust out the uv lamps) decapitation, anything else been shown to work?

I also totally agree with you regarding Kevin Durand(Vasiliy Fet). I think Vasiliy and Eph will team up with the Jewish Vamp Assasin and eventually take over for the him(Abraham Setrakian).

I feel like this point has been missed, Eldrich Palmer has put a plan in place to shut out the media. He hired the hacker to ruin the internet and he is using every contact in government to stop their interference. Unless you personally witness an attack, there is no media coverage or governmental interference.
