I had a dream about TD last night. This show nests in your dome.

Had a grippy murder mystery case dream the other night where rust was driving me around and we were solving a case I can't remember exactly. All I remember is he made me sit in the passenger rear side seat in his Toyota corolla. I swear to god this happened. TD is all in my dome piece

the reason why i didn't really comment much after last ep was b/c they rushed through the investigation. it was almost like a montage how fast it went. it is what it is. a big disappointment that i had accepted a couple weeks ago

Wut? It was all stuff that has been built on since ep 1

a lot was guessed in here so it seems like it was built up in the past. it really wasn't developed within the episode
if you want a slight stretch, the DxM is Rust's shed. i'm speaking of simply what we see on screen
but i haven't been quiet about my dislike of the whole cliche'd "omg religious people are evil!" plot line. once you "go there", by default, you don't have to actually explain stuff b/c the meme is so ingrained in our consciousness. that, along with the pseudo-DxM of the shed, allows them to skip a lot of the nitty gritty detective work (ironically)
as the show moves on it has become more clear that this is a show about marty. i just haven't been that engaged with his character since he was the same for 6 of the 7 eps so far
the most interesting part of the show after eps 1 and 2 was the cult, and instead of creating a mythology or interesting explanation, they went with the standard "religious people being bad" angle. and even with that cliche'd angle, they still haven't developed the cult at all really. we know a general understanding of who is involved and that they frick children, but that's about all. they'll probably attempt an explanation with a soliloquy or 2, which is disrespectful for the imposing size of the group and the power they wield. in fact, as the show progressed, we were given more and more characteristics of the gorup...only to be told at the end that they were red herrings
that's why i didn't really post too much after last episode. in terms of meeting expectations, it completely went off the rails. it is what it is at this point. lots of people have found themselves in Carcosa and watching this really was like watching the Yellow King
