The new Pet Sematary spoils the twist that it's not the little brother (Gage) who comes back, plus they rob you of the cringe about the scalpel coming from under the bed because you're shown that that scene happens on the stairs.
Suburbicon spoils the peanut butter sandwich twist by putting it right in the trailer. You're keeping a mental checklist of which scenes have been covered as you go through the movie, and that one was left for last.

Terminator Genisys was the worst recently. The stupid thing is they wouldn't discuss who Matt Smith was playing, but they give away the twist of the movie. Your enjoyment of the movie wouldn't have been hurt if they said a former Doctor was playing the human version of Skynet.
The Truman Show would have been more enjoyable if you didn't know entirely what it was about.
You watch movie trailers from the 70s and 80s and they don't give anything away. I know the clowns at marketing say you have to show a lot to get doofuses to the theater, but still. Christopher Nolan and the folks at Marvel are good at making trailers that whet your appetite, but don't give EVERYTHING away.

I guess since its for the 30th anniversary edition they assumed anyone buying would already know the ending.

An older guy I know said he remembered seeing a long Superman III trailer in theaters when he was in middle school, and it spoiled the entire movie, revealing pretty much every plot point.

The final Dark Knight Rises trailer was bad. Spoiled everything.

The Pet Sematary trailer is pretty damn bad. I had never heard of the original film. But after seeing the trailer. I have no reason to see the film.

I hate to say it . . . but Brightburn (the Supermanish horror movie coming out) seems this way too. It looks cool but it pretty much gives everything away in the trailer.

Without seeing the trailer and only watching the first one. It was a twist. Until the T-800 unloads hell on the T-1000 both are hunting John with no context for the 800.

CA: Winter Soldier
I had no idea the WS was Bucky, but some POS on this board ruined it a few days before the movie was out.
