What The Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears
Outstanding documentary on how the band was used for capitalist propaganda by the US State Department during the Cold War and the negative impact it had on the band.
This band was on top of the music world and one of my favorites in the late 60s and early 70s.
David Clayton-Thomas has one of the greatest voices in rock history. Backed by incredible horns and other musicians.
Their music still sounds great today

The lead singer (and others of course) of the horn band I played in for 20+ years was a HUGE David Clayton Thomas fan, and sounded a good bit like him. You Made Me was one of the songs we did.
Rick (our lead singer) went on to have a little career in movies before he passed away from a heart attack. He was a childhood friend of Billy Bob Thornton and had a part in Sling Blade. Robert Duvall saw him in that and ended up working with Duvall in a couple of movies. A little later with Jack Black, John Travolta and Jeff Bridges in others. But I digress...
Loved BS&T as a musician, but we stayed working so much playing dance music. Would have loved to played more, but most BS&T wasn't really great danceable music.

I never knew until recently BS&T was started by Al Kooper.
