The music alright, but his voice just sounds like arse to me.

The record label made him enunciate much much more for their big label debut record.

I must respectfully disagree. I'm a huge fan of Caleb Followill's voice.

If the way Caleb completely loses his shite while singing "spittin' out his teeth" on Trani is arse, then arse it is.

A-Ha Shake Heartbreak is my favorite, too. Just so damn consistent.

You can't blame them for wanting to be successful. I will say this though, for every POS single they put out now, I still find numerous gems on the records that won't get played on the radio

Also, I like his voice better now. I think he sounded like he was trying to hard in the beginning IMO

The mp3 cd for my car -- where I like to do my new-music listening -- will be burned this evening. Plan will be in effect by tomorrow.

Looking forward to it.

I radio ready album of dumbed down rock and roll that would appeal to the masses. "use Somebody" and "Sex on Fire" are two ghastly tracks from that shite show of an album

and this is what they are mainly known for. Two of their worst songs.

I still like them, although their earlier, more raw stuff is certainly better.

It's interesting, though, reading all the comments about how much they suck now vs their first two albums, when nobody in this country even game them a listen until albums 3 & 4.

I've heard from multiple people that they suck in concert, so that's disappointing, though I haven't witnessed it myself.

Saw them at HOB in NOLA on the Because of the Times tour. They absolutely did NOT suck live. Great show.

Everyone has done with this overrated band is doing. The Cult did it. GNR did it. I'll argue that Faith No More even did it with "Record of the Year".

I got onto them when the A ha shake album came out. A buddy of mine had it, and I burned a copy. I back-listened to Youth and Young Manhood.

Multiple people lied to you. They are EXCELLENT live.
