If I was building a playlist of favorite songs heard during the street dances at Louisiana festivals, what would you recommend I include?

Are you talking about Mardi Gras parades, country line dances, or like small town festivals because those are 3 different things.

Small town festival, street dance music, mainly the slower stuff that got all the old and young couples up and dancing.
Example - when I hear stuff like The Amazing Rhythm Aces' "Third Rate Romance" or Otis Redding's "These Arms of Mine," for me, these just have that Louisiana street dance feel to them.
That mix of zydeco, country, and R&B.

Small town festivals.
These are mostly going to be a mix of swamp pop, Van Morrison, Wilson Pickett, 90's country, 70's/80's classic rock, a little disco, line dances, and maybe a little random zydeco or new orleans music thrown in.
