Matt Cameron splitting from Pearl Jam

Cameron announced the news via Pearl Jam's official Instagram account, writing, "Much love and respect to Jeff [Ament], Ed [Vedder], Mike [McCready] and Stone [Gossard] for inviting me into the band in 1998 and for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, filled with friendships, artistry, challenges and laughter. I am forever grateful to the crew, staff and fans the world over. It's been an incredible journey. More to follow. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart."

True Story: In 2023 they had to cancel a show in Indy, like 5 hours before showtime, due to sickness. Me and a buddy had flown up from FLA to see the show. We ran into Matt at a local establishment, he was cool and apologetic, we didn't bother him about it other than some friendly ribbing. He paid our tab on his way out.

I'm wondering if this isn't health related. Soundgarden dropped out of the big Ozzy farewell concert at the last minute.

I believe Soundgarden's singer also has some major health problems right now.

LOL. Not that there was any bridge left after they kicked him out of the band, but if there was they sure as hell burned it down when they didn’t invite him to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
