I’ve been listening to them every time I get in the car since this thread was started. I’m officially a Gojira fan.

I completely agree, and it really surprises me how many people haven't heard of this band till recently.

Yeah they've been around a while now. I remember when Randy Blythe from Lamb of God was promoting them a lot and bringing them on tour at least ten years ago.

The first few songs on From Mars to Sirius hooked me.

I remember them coming to New Orleans with Job For a Cowboy, Behemoth, and some other band around 2007. Gojira played second. I almost went to that show but decided not to because it was raining hard that night and I didn't feel like making the drive. They headlined The Hangar around 2009 and I didn't go to that either. I had heard the name but wasn't too familiar with their music.

Gojira is excellent. One of my favorites. Saw them open for lamb of God maybe 13 years ago in Memphis. Saw them a few years back again.

Their best albums are From Mars to Sirius and The Way of All Flesh. Two amazingly crushing albums.

It's hard to beat the art of dying and wolf down the earth.
