Yeah that 20 years later was nice. That Reba was pretty hot as well
Posted on 10/30/13 at 11:17 am to CaptainPanic
I have a friend and his favorite song is reba. He has missed it by a show 5 times now. He is going to AC and we were joking with him yesterday afternoon that they were going to bust it out in the Reading encore.

Brutal
I hope they tease it at AC and move on

Derek Trucks has an open date Halloween night, with a show in North Carolina on 11.1.
Could Eat A Peach actually be the album?

Was the GTBT a giveaway or diversion? Maybe not I necessarily, but they have teased Physical Graffiti in the past.

Neither. Its a pretty common encore.

What is the song bouncing around the room about?
Posted on 10/30/13 at 11:40 am to TreyAnastasio
Why can't you just let me read more into it!
Better than the speculation of OK Computer.

Last night's show's song titles/lyrics were full of references to distance, travel, time, age, numbers, friends, family, breakups, and reunions. That need not be meaningful in regards to anything more than last night, the anniversary of Duane Allman's death, and if it does hint at the album, there are many directions you can take it. But I am going to shoehorn the hints into one interpretation...
Cars Trucks Buses - you take them all on "the road"/tour (and note that Duane died in a crash with a truck) Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan - "Gonna Dream" Ginseng Sullivan (released 1972, same year as Eat a Peach (and Berry Oakley's death)) - "It's a long way from the Delta to the North Georgia hills" - the Allmans got their start in Macon - and "I'm too old to ride the rails or thumb the road alone, so I guess I'll never make it back to home, My muddy water Mississippi delta home" Wolfman's Brother - replace "wolf" with "all," and move the "'s" to the end of the second word Sparkle - I got nothing Walk Away (released 1971, the same year as Duane's death (and At Fillmore East)) - the Allmans "walked away," i.e. broke up, in the '70s Divided Sky - another reference to division between members of the band? 1980's Reach for the Sky? Duane had also been known as "Sky Man" and 'Sky Dog" Split Open and Melt - more splitsvile Julius - "With your past and your future precisely divided... if you lay it on a brother when he's sleeping, you'll wake up in the morning and he'll be gone" (and is "I came out on top by the luck of the draw" a reference to 1975's Win, Lose, or Draw?) Set 2: Down With Disease - (many potential Allmans references in the jam here and) during the later '70s and '80s, Gregg battled drug problems... Taste - ...and went through three divorces ("I don't want you to live with me") Twenty Years Later - but in 1989, the Allmans reunited ("second time around"), 20 years after their debut Piper - the band was reawakened? Warren is a red, red worm? ok, I got nothing Backwards Down The Numberline - refers to (and catalyzed) Phish's own reunion You Enjoy Myself - the (eternal?) aging/maturation(/decline) process Grind - anniversaries? the 28 teeth inside of their heads match the number of years Phish (including Page) has been together
Encore: Bouncing Around The Room - "that time then and once again..." a return to and repeat of beginnings (""?) ("back where it all begins"?)? Phish's first show with Page, on 5/3/85, featured a cover of Whipping Post, and their show almost exactly 28 years earlier, on 10/30/85, featured their (second and last?) cover of Revival (and the first Possum).
