The cabbie who took Vai to the venue in Barcelona showed him a video of his son playing guitar. Vai later saw the boy in the audience, and decided to make his entire life

The kid will ALWAYS remember this day in his life:

Cool. Steve has been a favorite of mine going back to his Zappa days. I've seen him a few times, once on the G3 tour with Satch and Petrucci and the other two times by himself. Always a tremendous show.

Sorta related but interesting, I thought:

Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger said that Steve Vai gave him the pipa used to write and record Aqueous Transmission thats on the Morning View album.
