You're crazy. That track jams.

I've been getting into his first album.

It's definitely the most country of his albums, which isn't a bad thing, but it's very hit or miss to me.

Some of the songs (I forget the names) are forgettable and he essentially reused the melodies to write better songs on his other two albums.

What I think would be a more interesting thread (not that this isn't interesting) is a top ten list. It's so constrictive, it'll make you really hunker down and think.

I like to see that everyone has Just Let Go rated highly.

The first couple of lines are awesome - "Woke up today and decided to kill my ego. It ain't ever done me no good no how."

So many of his songs have well written, complex and weaving lyrics.

Relative to the order of greatness, I agree with the sentiment that it changes for me week to week and I think that is reflective of the quality of his material. You find different things at different points that resonate more.

This. Really just depends on what mood I'm in.

I know I'm in the minority here but I was massively disappointed in the new album. It's not that it isn't quality music, but it's just not Sturgill to me. I love the previous albums. The newest one just seems like a big departure. I think it's the horns that don't fit for me. Or maybe I just hyped up the new album too much waiting for it.
