Yeah, I saw them at the Texas Club as well. That one was in 1986, I’m quite sure. Also an amazing show.
At one point during the show, Ricky Rattlesnake Medlocke took a swig out of his just opened Budweiser bottle and then handed it down to me. I finished it off and then held onto the bottle. After the show, I met all four of them and got them all to sign the bottle.
That’s my Blackfoot CSB. I knew I still had to get it out of the club though and they were watching bottles at the door like a hawk. So I went into the bathroom with the signed bottle in one hand and newly purchased Budweiser in my other hand. I put the signed bottle down my pants and then used the other one as a diversion when walking out. On my way out the door, they told me to throw it away, so I tossed it in the can and walked out the door with the signed bottle still in my possession.
I held onto that thing for years but man, I think it disappeared somewhere along the way. Pretty sure it’s not tucked away in any of my old boxes of belongings from my parents’ house.
