Myles Kennedy turned down offers from Slash & Matt Sorum in 2002 to audition for the position of lead singer for Velvet Revolver.
In 2008 Kennedy wrote songs & rehearsed with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, & Jason Bonham; but nothing came of the project & the music was never released.
Jerry Cantrell played a small part as a copy clerk in the opening scenes of Cameron Crowe's movie Jerry Maguire.
After Alice in Chains' first record was certified gold, Cantrell sent gold records to his high school drama & choir teachers.

Tool's Adam Jones worked on several other big films in Hollywood doing makeup and set design, including Jurassic Park, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Dances with Wolves, and Ghostbusters II. He did the "Freddy Krueger in the womb" makeup for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, as well as work for A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.
