So very true. And while I like a good bit of Sting's solo stuff, I hated him becoming so big. It was almost like it added credibility to his side of the Sumner-Copeland slugfests and I was always a bigger Copeland fan.

The Police - So Lonely (Hatfield Polytechnic 1979)

A great early live version of this song.

Andy could ´go off´live. He´s a great guitarist.

Also, the growl of his guitar, in the early lives, makes me swoon.

Bring On The Night- The Police

Andy is a wonderwall of sound. It´s hard to make that shite sound solid or full. Sophisticated simplicity.

ETA as per usual, Copeland´s highhat is begging for mercy.

No doubt. They had a hook just different enough.

I know you´re a Canuck, and Peart is a demigod, but there is NOBODY who beats the skins like Stewart Copeland. NOBODY.

Another Stewart Copeland effort that ultimately gave credibility and brought about respect for a band called Phish, the side project of vocalist and guitarist Trey Anastasio.

Yeah, right place, right time. They were head and shoulders above anybody else, talent wise. That is a very, very strong live.

Music was on it´s deathbed then, wasn´t it?

Great band, but definitely right place, right time. They may not have made it through the muck, in other circumstances.
