97.7 in Baton Rouge plays some of the best jams i've heard on the radio on awhile.

What format is it? Tomorrow I'll see if I can pick it up in NOLA.

I wish Phil Lesh and Friends would come down south. Their setlists have been ridiculous this tour with Anders Osborne. Last night for example:

Set 1 (79:00)

Intro/Crowd
Bertha
Deal
Birdsong
Simple Man
I Shot the Sheriff
Rollin' and Tumblin'
Gimme Shelter

Set 2 (134:04)

Intro/Crowd
Playing In The Band >
Little Wing >
Cold Rain and Snow
Down By The River
It's Too Late
Death Don't Have No Mercy
The Wheel
St Stephen
Layla

Donor Rap
Thorn Tree In The Garden

Seriously. I've been hoping for a Hangout set considering the other acts that could play with them.

I'm surprised they haven't done New Orleans

Have you read Lesh's book? Pretty good stuff

As best I can tell, the song I bought it for is Walk on Guilded Splinters, which is the kind of thing we did back in 199.

60s, 70s and some 80s minus all the stereotypical shite you would hear on 98.1. I was listening to it when I posted Everybody Plays the Fool

James Brown - My Thang

Somehow this insanely funky track is underrated. As one once put it "probably as hard and unrelenting as he got without spontaneously combusting."
