serious question > have you seen him live? If not, I really think it would change your opinion of him. It's a very high energy show. The E Street Band may be the tightest band in music today. Their live show is top notch.

Nope. In order to see someone live I would need to like their music first. To me Bruce is just another John Cougar Mellencamp.

Too bad. As a lukewarm Bruce listener I went to see his jazzfest set just so I could say I saw him once.

One of the best shows I've ever seen, and I'm an old fart. He owned that jazzfest crowd. Great great show.

what's not to like about this?

I still didn't like that video. I agree with Trey to an extent here. I just do not like Bruce Springsteen, is he a talented songwriter? most definitely and his songs are amazing when someone else does them. I just don't like him.

to borrow an old saying....the dead may not be in a class by themselves, but whatever class they're in, it doesn't take long for roll call. one of the best live acts of all time, and piss off if you have a problem with it also, people like to give jerry props for his lead playing (and rightfully so), but i also think he's an underrated rhythm guitar player....some of the stuff he plays during the verses is just downright tasty.

phish? big fan, but nowadays can only catch one show a year. nowadays they're alot better than they were right before their "breakup"....

springsteen? saw him once in '84 & once in '00...while i don't listen to his music regularly, the man puts on a slobberknocker of a show. like attending a rock & roll revival, if you will....

WSP? meh....liked 'em 100 times better when they were playing bars & didn't have any delusions of grandeur. those were some great times. that said, i haven't seen 'em since '98 (i gave up after the free outdoor show in athens, and getting my camera stolen didn't help matters either, lol), so maybe they've gotten better for all i know....but the clips i've seen don't back it up IMO.

carry on....

they (WSP) just "feel" like a good-time bar band to me. i've been to a fair amount of shows since the club days (including two NYE shows), but none really grabbed me like the sweaty sets at the supper club or some local party/frat house gig. can't say i didn't try 'tho
