Great News!!!
Let's give a guy a big, 4 year contract who lives on the bench due to injuries and has only played 2 freaking games for us all year and has missed nearly 70 games (and counting with many more to come) over the last 2 years!
I'm all for them giving Gordon a nice big 1 year offer and make him prove that he isn't going to sit on the bench for at least a quarter of the season like he has the last 2 years, but 4 years? They are shooting themselves in the foot.

Why? You said he didn't even want to be here.

Because if he can prove that he isn't as injury prone as history (and as of right now) tells us then why not? 1 year contracts and even some with 2nd year options are very common offers to players who are injury prone. We all know Gordon can ball and when healthy is a top 10 shooting guard in the NBA, but he has stayed injured the last 2+ years.
If you owned a business and had a really good employee who was awesome at his job, but called in sick a couple days every week I think you would think long and hard before promoting or giving them a big raise.
