Pelicans coach Monty Williams is not expecting any trades involving his team today
It's lame when they are a lot of good players who can help this team available out there that we aren't going to try to do anything to improve our chances since we are close to the playoff borderline right now

We have no assets.
Salmons, Withey and a 2nd, you aren't going to get much for that. Guys you could get for our scrubs like Jarrett Jack come with extra years and money.

Haven't watched much of Lopez lately but if he wants to shoot jumpers then that'll mean they have 2 big men who would prefer to score from outside of the paint. May be some sort of clash there.
Perkins shoots 3.6 times per game. Lopez shoots 12.7 times per game. Lopez doesen't rebound, Perkins does. Maybe this move forces Ibaka to bring his arse back to the paint and stop shooting so much, if that's the case it could be good for them. But if they end up with 2 bigs out of the paint taking shots from Westbrook and KD, I would be very pleased.

Can't we trade away a future 1st in a deal?
Posted on 2/19/15 at 12:49 pm to TigerinATL
Ramona Shelburne: Word from Phx is that owner has dug in & told folks he won't trade Dragic. That, of course, wouldn't be the 1st time an owner dug in. Twitter @ramonashelburne
Dragic might be going nowhere

that the team liked Monty better than Demps.
Really hope that isn't the case. I'd love to see what a good coach could do with this roster. New GM probably blows this thing up. If that job is left to Dumars, I'm going hide in a bomb shelter.

Big mistake. That's like us if we would have kept Baron Davis despite him saying he wanted out.

A 2017 1st is the earliest we can trade right now.

Wouldn't be the first time an owner made a bad call. From what then Clippers GM Neil Olshey said, Sterling wouldn't budge on the number of assets he'd give up for CP3. If Stern hadn't vetoed the trade, the Clippers would have missed out on becoming contenders because they didn't want to add Bledsoe to the deal.
This could also just be posturing trying to get more trade value. "I'm sorry, but my manager won't let me go any lower."

It's going down
Jackson to Detroit and Dragic to Miami per Stein and Woj
Update: Kanter heading to OKC too.

That's actually a better deal for OKC. Still a jump shooting big, but Kanter shoots less and rebounds more than Lopez

Joel Meyers said he heard all the guards in Phoenix had the butt hurt over what was going down. I guess it was true.

Bucks go hard, getting Michael Carter-Williams from Philly and Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumless from Phoenix in three-team deal. Holy moly.

Yeah. And Singler is a solid role player. Woj said the OKC deal could involve more teams and players too.
Looks like IT to Boston now? Holy shite what just happened
