Everyone needs to stop the sand from getting in their vaginas. This was a close game against a great team without a 6th man of the year caliber player and these guys are still getting used to each other.

Exactly. This was never supposed to be a win, we're just pissed because we should have won it.

have poor 4th Q rotations

Smiht had foul troubles and Ryno was out. We HAD to play Stiemsma/Onuaku. Rivers didn't step on the floor. At the end, when Smiht fouled out, either Thomas or Stiemsma had to come in. What would you have done differently?

Glad to see so many LSU fans have made it here
I thought the pels got away from what got them the lead. We settled for way to many jumpers in 3rd q.
Considering the piss poor refs and not having ryno, still not a bad game. This team should be fun to watch.

We saw good things, we saw bad things. Sounds like a typical first game from a young team who has only had one off season together. Also let's not forget we played the second best team in the East last year.

Okay, I'll give you one chance here...Is it possible that perhaps the guy who's playing with new teammates in a new system and was injured throughout pre-season, maybe just maybe is kinda rusty in the first game of the fricking season against an elite defensive opponent?

What does that exactly mean.

I'm sure the pacers are a better team overall in a 7 game series but we need to win games like this and stop making excuses

This team will need him.
J smooth played tough to bad the refs let hibbard straight mug in the second half.

Overreaction much?

Meh, it's early, but he showed almost nothing in this game. Like I said in the game thread, he looked slow and out of shape and took horrible shots.

I'm still utterly shocked that Monty or an assistant can't draw up a competent offensive set. There were so many iso's

Excuses =/= reasons

We're a young team breaking in a completely new roster without one of our best players. They're an experienced team that is elite on defense.

This is not a big shock, I'm just glad we showed the potential that we did. The team had really great moments.

He probably is out of shape. He'll be fine.
