I’m not rooting against him but I’m not rooting for him so to speak either. I also am wondering if we are going to try to force him the ball. Seems so early

I just don't want him to get injured. I'm not actively rooting against him or for him to play terrible.

Basically came on stone cold focused and clearly pissed in that Gunfy sort of way and said that it is shameful what the NBA is doing in this situation. Allowing AD to pull this shite and then force us with threat of financial retaliation and more to do what is against our best interest as a small market.
Made a plea to Gayle to make a stand for all small market teams and say this sort of stuff should not and will not stand.

Never hoped for my own player to be injured if AD hits his mouth on the court though it may improve his grill

That he is disappointed in the NBA that they are bullying us to play AD—he feels like Gayle should make a point and not play him and just pay the fine and that all the other small market teams should donate to the Pelicans to help the cause.. Also thinks it’s crazy AD only gets fined 50k but the Pels look to be fined 2.5+ million if they sit him and that the NBA doesn’t really care about tampering because they want AD in LA
