I don't love a lot of guys in FA to replace him but there are some guys on the trade market I would love as stopgaps. Specifically Milos and JJ Barea. Again, I don't think the player will be hard to replace. Lets remember that this was a guy who would finish games on the bench while Ian Clark finished. You won't get the assists from someone else, but you can get better shooting and D. Not to mention a guy who fits much better with Boogie.
Its the leadership that will be missed. The question is: Will AD and Jrue step up in that department? If they won't, then Rondo was just a band aid anyway, and the problems are bigger than they appear on the surface.

Forgot about him. That's an interesting option. I also wonder what it would take to get Pat Bevlery if the Clips look around the conference and decide tanking this year is for the best.

If we want to get back heavily into Point Boogie, I'd fricking love Patrick Beverly.
Beverly/Jrue/Solo/AD would be about as good as it gets defensively 1-4, and Boogie is at least capable of playing good defense in stretches if he's not pouting after non-calls. Swap out Boogie with Niko and there and your WORST defender is still above average. Better hope that Jrue is in Aggressive Jrue mode, though.

I wrote "Avery Bradley" in my previous post, but meant Beverly. Bradley would be just about as good, though.

Didn't say they hated the signing. Said that their evaluation of the player was drastically different than it is now. Read that thread: The "positives" are that he can be a good backup. He is an improvement over Frazier. He can be cut if he sucks. Not a huge salary, etc. Not one person evaluating him close to how they are today.
And maybe a year from now, when Payton takes a big paycheck somewhere else, people will be melting again because the Pels lost him and are lamenting the signing of the next guy the system will make look better than he is. Heck, I remember a mini melt when they traded Frazier for a 2nd because of the "stats" he put up once he got minutes

Where are you getting he signed with Indi? No valid source has reported it (just numerous invalid reports of 1yr 12mil), and the most recent thing I’ve read said that he’s leaning towards the warriors.

Yeah, Rotoworld is always on top of shite and their last Reke update was today, saying there's Warriors interest.
