Do this. Do this right now. I mean, do this yesterday. This should have been done by now.

I mean, this is serious bonertime. We should be cutting Glenn or any one of those other schmucks to sign Hall. Did they do this yet?

Glenn has actually been pretty solid IMHO.

Thing is, "they" said that Hall has been consistently been getting burned; but, although I think he has always been somewhat overrated, I think he plays to talent level of the team he's on. The Raiders are sorry, so his play has been sorry.

I'm not a fan of either Glenn or Hall, but I think Hall is a bit better.

I would say that Hall has the definite advantage here. I wonder how much it would take to sign him. He'd definitely help us out. Plus, it was the Raiders. That's where skills go to die.

exactly. It's not like he would be replacing a champ bailey on our team. We could use the help. I'd welcome him!

I know Hall is kind of a douche, but we really should give him a call.

The leaders of the Saints know that they are underacheiving right now and they won't allow anyone to bring negativity to the locker room, or playing field. That being said I think D.Hall would take advantage of being able to play on a contending team for the first time in a while.

OK, this is the situation as i know it. If a team claims Hall off of waivers, they have to pay him the pro-rated portion of his salary (which is actually close to the league minimum). However, there is an injury clause in his contract, where he would be guaranteed $16 million if he suffers a serious injury. I can't see any team taking on that risk, so he will most likely clear waivers, making him a UFA. Once a UFA, that is when you can expect teams to make a run at him.

i believe it is. once an UFA you can give him a new contract, but until then that 16 mil injury clause is gonna hold him back from signing with anyone.
