LSU used it first in 1981. It was a Rap song about LSU basketball.

Who Dat is an old vaudeville phrase from the 1800s. NO Saints adopted it in 1983, prior to that time it had been used at several schools, including the supposed originators Southern University in the 60s. Who Dey is a variation that was adopted by the bengals in 81. I love the saints but if you're gonna judge and throw stones at least know what you are talking about.
