He's not worth half his current salary. Bilgewater hasn't done anything a quarterback from your local AA high school couldn't do. The team would be far more dynamic with Hill at QB and I'm pretty sure he could complete the dump-off passes that Bilgewater is now completing and be a threat to run with the ball.
But they won't even consider benching Bilgewater until they run into a game where the defense doesn't carry the team to a victory. If the Saints ever get into a shootout then Bilgewater's limitations will be exposed to even the most shallowest of casual fans.
