That's because he created much of it himself. Once he was gone, so was the negative energy.
Where are y’all getting this from? The only issue I have with MT is some of his twitter posts. Outside of that, dude was good to the Saints and still supports the team.

You must have just started following the team. He's a cancer grade A POS.

Umm no, I did not just start following the team. A lot of white people don’t like his twitter posts which I clearly stated in my first post. He’s said some stupid shite on social media. Outside of that, what stories are y’all talking about. He got into it once with CGJ in practice.
No players have come out and said he was a locker room cancer.
Everybody raved about his work ethic. He brought it on the field.

It's not a race thing. He trashed the team and organization.

Yea on twitter. Which is what I’m talking about. He runs his mouth on twitter too much. But the locker room cancer talk what people on here are saying I don’t recall any of that.

There's alot more that went on behind the scenes which is why he's never touching the field again.

Bring him back at the league minimum.

My initial reaction is screw that we don't need the risk,
However, at 32yo if he's maintained a high level of training the last two years and clears his physicals i would not opposed to bringing him in on a vet minimum deal with the understanding that if anything shows up on social media derogatory or negative towards the team to any team or player in the NFL he's out and forfeits any money owed to him.
I'd never have any expectation that he's ever return to what he way in his first 4 seasons and wouldn't really need him to.
There is a reason he hade not played since 2023 though and it's not because he was resting his body and hoping to return to New Orleans. That's has to be mitigated into his contract.
Worst that could happen is he relapses and starts his drama and then you immediately cut him and even that would be a positive look for this new staff, that they are willing to give players chances but are not putting up with BS. Even a little.

On July 31, 2019, Thomas signed a five-year, $100 million contract extension with $61 million guaranteed with the Saints.
Not worth getting off the couch for a vet min ($1.2m). Want some concussions like Olave?
