Let's see...We get the ball first on our 20, followed by a 10 yard holding, followed by an offsides, followed by a Safety.

Defense holds Saints to 3 points on the first drive.

Offense puts together some decent plays and Scobee kicks a field goal.

JDR decides to start killing the clock only being down by 2.

Final score...52-3 Saints

When did we score 47 straight? He left that part out.

What's interesting about the Jags offense is that they managed to allow opposing defenses to record safeties in consecutive games.

You almost have to try to be that inefficient.

the loss itself was worse due to the high expectations last year.....

The NFC loss was bad and I was there, but not as bad as last years loss.

To each his own, but I'd rather be one and done than lose a game that would send us to the Superbowl. That one was especially devastating being that we had NO CLUE that we would EVER BE 10-6 and be playing in that game whatsoever that season. That's my point on that one.

I agree. I was sick after that Chicago game. That feeling didn't wear off for a while.

The playoff loss last year wore off when Green Bay torched the Falcons.

As far as the stakes being higher for the Chicago loss, yes it was worse....last year was just a Wildcard game......but like I said the loss last year hurt a lot more because of the expectations and the way we lost....

For the Chicago game, I was just happy that we made it that far......we knew going into that game that it was going to be a tough win and if we did win then it would have been a bonus..

Last year...we were supposed to win!!! frick, we should have never even been plying that weekend anyways...we should have had a fricking bye...

As a fan the way last years season ended was way more disappointing than the 06-07 season

After the Bucs games when we had that rash of injuries and two of our RB's went to the IR, I kind of felt that was it. I figured even if we won in Seattle (which I expected to), we might get embarrassed somewhere else. We just got embarrassed sooner than I thought.

I agree 100%
That's what I meant....the loss was so embarrassing that it hurt that much more

I don't even think it was more embarrassing. We weren't even in that Bears game. We got dominated. It took us till this year to finally beat those bastards.

I guess we're splitting straws though. Regardless of which loss was more embarrassing, the Bears loss hurt way worse.

dude, it was 16-14 in the 3rd quarter.....

The Seahawks were whipping our arse 34-20 in the 3rd Quarter

The seahawks embarrassed us way worse than the Bears did and we were supposed to win that game...

We werent supposed to win the Bears game

And we had a chance to win the Seattle game, but we didn't stand a chance against the Bears. We weren't ready.

Just a couple of things:

Seattle, while a 7-9 playoff team, had played the Saints tough in the regular season game, in NOLA.

The Saints lost Graham and Jenkins in the previous game and not to mention, the RBs that were out.

The playoff game was in Seattle, where they were 5-3, and had played much better at home during the season.

Not to mention, Seattle was told all week that there was no way they can win this game. Back a team into a corner like that, and see how they respond.

So, while the Saints, on paper, should have handed Seattle their asses, the fact it that this is the NFL, where any team can play well and win, On Any Given Sunday.
