Why do care so much that LSU and Tulane play each other?

I'm RA'ing this whole fricking thread and everyone in it. Don't bring this petty shite to Saints talk that has nothing to do with the Saints. Everybody in here sucks. Except for Sid and myself...of course.

Tulane students are some of the most pompous and arrogant without reason people that I have ever met. It is NOT Louisiana's responsibility to save an over-hyped, overpriced, private university following its struggles. Even if its Katrina, Tulane has brought little more than a relocated Yankee campus in our beautiful city of New Orleans.
Their feeling of entitlement for their self-proclaimed Harvard of the South moniker is so pretentious that now they are asking for handouts and mad when the state and its programs look out for themselves.
Here you go Tulane. Bring something of value to Louisiana other than bring asshats from the northeast to go to school here, use the resources, and then bail when they get their degree, and we can talk. Until then, STFU and go take care of your own shite with your many many super-succesful alumni.

Tulane is the largest employer in the City of New Orleans. When the northern carpetbaggers come south for their 4-5 years of fun and sun while "studying" at Tulane, they leave their enormous tuition checks which do get funneled into the local economy. Some stay, some leave. Locals can go to Tulane, their $ is green too.
Let's get back to talking Saints/LSU.

Tradition.
Same reason that I care that Jesuit and Holy Cross play each other.

They were a bit down last year, particularly in the fall season. They had some numbers issues, and they didn't participate much in sevens this summer. They didn't travel well to play us in one of their matches, but I'm sure that they would travel better to NOLA.
I saw that you guys are playing the Renegades up here in a few weeks. We have Life that weekend, but we can all meet up and hit the town after both socials.
