I think yall are way over reacting. I think if you bring in one true pass rushing DT to replace Ellis and one true pass rushing DE to replace Smith and the rest will take care of its self. If we get more push up front the back end will be way better because of it.

Then devote the entire draft to defense and resign Jimmy Graham. If we have any money leftover, put it on defense. I'd draft a front four before ANYTHING in the draft. If we get a good four that give consistent pressure, our secondary will look better than they are. Dline should be priority over anything. These guys right now would make Revis, Patrick Peterson, and Champ Baily look horrible in the secondary.
So, you're going to draft an entire front four that delivers pressure without having a first round pick?

Meat, go back and read the post he was responding to.
I almost made that mistake, as well.

This certainly wouldn't solve all our problems or anything, but I would be pretty excited if we signed big glen dorsey. He has been playing out of position his whole career in the nfl. It would be nice to see what he could do in a 4-3.

First off, trade away our 1st pick and get as many draft picks as possible.
Depends on who is available/what we could get for that pick.

Second, cut Ellis, Shanle, Casilias, Vilma, Smith, Herring, and Harper.
I don't completely agree or disagree with this.

Or make Harper restructure
This is my preference. I believe the guy can play....he just can't cover a reciever.

He's not worth the money he makes
OK

We have issues at WR. If we can get one or two quality WR's in free agency then I have no problem with this.

i know its a stretch but i wonder how harper would do with about 10 more lbs playing wlb and always in the box.
