If you expect to say that about the Cowboys, I'd be lying...The Saints beat themselves in that game 3 examples off the bat. 1) Dropped pick by Roman Harper in the second that would have given us the ball on the Cowboy 35 2)Brees underthrowing an open Devery for a pick 3)Devery dropping a pass in the endzone
You act like there weren't some plays Dallas could have made, such as catching that third down, picking off the terrible Brees pass to the middle of the field, and hitting him even more.

Technically, when you're a playoff bound team, the only stat that matters is Lombardi Trophies.
only one team wins that trophy in a season, an absurdly meaningless stat when you are comparing two teams on the season.

Its happened 3 weeks in a row now. I don't see how you can consider it a fluke.
only a homer would continue to ignore the trend

But Romo played by far his best game of the season, so did Spencer.
The Cowboys brought their A game, the Saints brought their D game. Despite all that, the Saints had a chance to tie it up at the end.

newman had a pick six that he didnt catch
How was that almost a pick. . .without using Matt Millen as your source.

Meh, win a couple, and then we'll see how meaningless they are. Who remembers the best team of the regular season? No one, every body remembers the champions. The Saints are still looking like favorites to come out of the NFC, and you probably won't have to travel, and even in the worst case scenario, won't play outdoors in the cold.

Eh, how do you define A and D game? What if the game planning by the 'Boys lead to the "D" game?

Saints played flat.
For 3 weeks in a row now. The first time they have played flat against a good team and they lost. Don't make it out to be a fluke. Don't pass if off like the Cowboys are mediocore. The Redskins are mediocore. The Falcons with Chris Redman at QB are mediocore. The Cowboys are not mediocore. What's the excuse going to be in the playoffs?

The unfortunate part about the NFL is people just keep compiling film on teams. Every team has tendencies, and the ones that have no losses ALWAYS have a huge target on their backs. They get psyched up for the chance to "knock them off".

You realize I don't particularly care who won or lost tonight?

Please reread my post because you are obviously missing something.
I never said it is a meaningless stat as far as franchise accomplishment, but using that number to compare the 2009 Cowboys and the 2009 Saints is a terrible fallacy.

How so? If and when the Saints pick it up, who really cares what happened in week 14?

Could it have happened last week? Yes.
Had it happened last week, we beat the cowgirls by 21.

So you are saying that the Cowboys Lombardi trophies from the 90's makes this years team better???

Agreed. Take it from someone who watched the Pats two years ago, losing is probably the best thing that could happen.
