Agreed. Take it from someone who watched the Pats two years ago, losing is probably the best thing that could happen.
This is why I say it was a fluke.

Like when LSU lost to UT in 05.

Atleast we are sure the Saints will be in the playoffs. Now the Cowboys...that's a different story.

I would not be surprised if Dallas blows their last 2 and misses the playoffs due to tiesbreakers with the Giants.

So you are saying that the Cowboys Lombardi trophies from the 90's makes this years team better???

No, but I'm saying every team goes into the season with one goal, to win the championship. After a city wins a couple, you learn (as a fan) that its what the entire season is about. Teams are always going to have embarrassing games... I mean look what happened to the Pats when they traveled to NO... but its about the entire season.

that's where your theory becomes a fallacy.

Fans know what a Cowboy super bowl feels like, the current players however, don't even know what a Cowboy playoff win feels like.

I know, right? Its a loss, these things tend to happen. Its not like the other team is being paid to lose.

Lol, dude I don't root for the Cowboys. What I was saying is its one game that really doesn't mean anything. The only thing that matters is the Championship.

I guess if I were a Cowboy fan, I would see it that way. . .since you guys need something to hang your hat on this season.

Exactly my point.

This loss was the outlier. Thus, a fluke.

I never said it did mean anything...we still control our own destiny and that's the important thing. All these Dallas fans coming on here think they are "back", give it 2 weeks.

6 years ago, I never thought I would live to see the Saints even make a super bowl. If they could just make it that far this year, I will be content.

Wow. Take a step back, and try to realize how cocky that statement is. You were beat by a team that probably is playoff bound. Its not a fluke, its just almost impossible to go perfect in the modern era. Players are bigger and stronger, thus creating more injuries. The better teams tend to have better depth, but eventually the difference between starters and back-ups becomes evident.
