Yeah. I remember looking at this a year after those players signed and thought this could be the most athletic HS front 7 ever.

Look at the two DEs on that squad!

Hell, Ordu ended up going to Tennessee Tech, and had a pretty good career.

Looking at the highlites he seems to back peddle into the zone really well all the while keeping his eyes on the QB.

Passing on the Saints over the middle is going to be hell on turf.

All hail BrydBall.

A legit #2 corner is going to make our secondary very hard to work against.

Dude looks pretty impressive in that highlight video. The fact that we signed him to a 3-year deal shows our FO thinks a lot about him.

Yeah, he's technically a rookie (even though he played in the CFL), so a 3 year deal is standard, like for any udfa.

Man that is one sick looking high school football team right. Please tell me they won it all that year.

They didn't. Unfortunately their defense couldn't score as they lost to Lowndes, eventual champion, in the semi-finals 14-0.

We might have drafted a Safety in the late rounds...that most likely won't be happening anymore. And as someone already said...you probably won't find a better Safety past the 3rd round of the draft. Great addition

Roman Harper's replacement. Looks great in zone coverage and takes great angles to the ball carriers.

I wonder how this signing affects our draft plans with coverage inside linebackers. Guys like Mosley and Schazier.

didn't see this story in a quick scan-

"I'm very blessed," Ball said during a telephone interview. "It's a fortunate opportunity to be able to achieve one of my ultimate goals and something I've dreamt about since I was a kid starting out playing football.

"This doesn't guarantee anything. I still have to go and fight for a position and spot on the roster but I'm looking forward to the challenge."

The six-foot-one, 209-pound Ball spent two seasons with the Argos, helping them win the 100th Grey Cup in '12. He recorded 142 tackles, seven sacks, four interceptions — returning two for TDs — and three fumble recoveries.

I don't know about that but you have to figure the guy can cover a lot of territory because he had to; 50 yards more from end to end and 12 yards from side to side (the added dimensions of a CFL field over the NFL).

He'll be hungry and will leave everything on the field...that's for sure.

10 yards more. CFL field is 110 yards.
