This is what I would hope for. But we'd need to carry the cap space in case the player signed the tag.
Which means that Nicks might be the more logical and profitable tag between Nicks and Colston. So if I had to choose just 2 our of Brees, Colston, and Nicks, I'd go with Brees and Nicks. That and I'd expect Colston to get signed for more, have plenty of playing time, and production which might lead to a higher compensatory pick.
