He doesn't seem that way, he is a team guy and hopefully we can pay him but keep our team together so we can keep coming back as long as Drew is here. The good thing about paying him is you know some of the money is going to go back into the community.

Yeah, your not being a dick. Your just picking apart my posts and inserting your own thoughts as to what someone actually said.
Work on your english first, but to answer your question I think it is nice that he does what he does. He could be a dick and still get paid but it's nice that he actually cares. I have met him and his wife and they are both very nice people who don't just care about themselves. Give him the keys to the city!

I went back and took some of the frick you's out the post and made my english whack.
Anyways, yes he's a great guy, does things with Charity and all that good shite but the dude is still going to want to get paid. If he wants to give the tom brady discount, he'd stay with his current deal. He took money the first time and he'll take the money the second time. He never gave our city the katrina discount, we had to pay the man. I just don't get the transition of "he's not selfish" so he's not going to want his market value.

I never said he wouldn't want market value. I am hoping he doesn't want the world because it is easier to keep a winning team together and he knows that and wants to win. I say pay him but I hope he realizes what is best if he wants to win. Players take a little less all the time to go somewhere where they can win.

The Saints do have leverage and that is he is still under contract for 2 more seasons. 2 more of his prime seasons... so it's a give now and help us out along the way type agreement.

He isn't going to get paid? I personally think he will take a little less. They are talking about Peyton getting 20 mill per year. Drew should be worth a little less or about the same. I hope he takes 15 so we can continue what we have going here.
eta....I know he is going to get paid which is what you meant. I never said he wasn't going to get paid. He should get paid, I just hope he works with us considering he is under contract and thinks of the teams future success that he will be a part of. I want to go to another Super Bowl, we have the team to do it and can go on a run of em with smart management luck in terms of health.
