Vaccaro is the best safety of the three. He can play strong, free or nickle/slot corner while the others two are more limited. If you switched teams for Vaccaro and Elam over the last three years, it would be abundantly clear Vaccaro is better. Elam played on a very good defense while Vaccaro was having to compensate all over the field on a garbage defense in a spread offense-filled conference..

This board has been disappointing today with so many Saints Talk Vets revealing themselves to be whiny pussies because "their guy" didn't get selected.

I tried to warn them.

Clearly we were not hurting in the speed rush department with 3 of those guys already. Whereas S needed an upgrade.

What do you think about him, red? I was pretty ambivalent about the pick because I wanted Jarvis Jones, but Vacarro kind of won me over with his interview right after being picked. Short and sweet, he said "I'm gonna come in and dominate." We just don't have a bunch of dudes on defense with that same attitude, and we need it.

I really am shocked that you are actually being optimistic. No offense, it just seems unlike you

I went to undergrad there so i watch them pretty closely....hes really good. Better than reid and elam. Just stuck on a shite defense so all these tards automatically think he sucks. He was a god damn all american last year.

And im a huge lsu and eric reid fan and i still think vaccaro is better

Apparently the 49ers didn't think so. They traded away draft picks to move up to lock him up.

You really cannot be serious with this... I get that it may be a questionable pick but how can you be so sure?

Elam and the TM7 will be the defensive steals of this draft. Matt Elam will be an All-Pro. Bookmark this. Re-read in four years.

Well we only traded one 3rd pick to move up to guarantee we got the highest rated S on our board. Good deal if you ask me.

Still have three picks tomorrow including the #34 and #61 overall. The 49ers had 13 picks, they aren't going to keep 13 players, I doubt any team save Jacksonville would have.

ETA: Cincy and the Rams had Reid targeted.

Def LSU BIAS.

Reid is overrated. He can't cover worth a shiz and we already have that in Harper and Jenkins.

GET OVER IT!

Vaccaro not the fastest straight away speed, but kid can play,he is a solid pick for the Saints.
He is a grinder, very quick around and to the ball. Kid also bring the lumber. Very physical player. He will do great in NO. He has a high football IQ
