I love how he got the Who Dat in at the end.
Seriously this man has done more living since he was diagnosed than most of us do in a whole lifetime. He was in Machu Pichu earlier this week with Scott Fujita. Tonight he's in NYC at the draft. We can all learn something from him about how to make everyday count.

My father passed from ALS at the begining of March.
I cant remember if Gleeson has a TOBI or the other machine. Its a basic computer that has an eye gaze attachment that tracks the movement of the eye. Uses customer interface that allows patients to look at a keyboard on the screen to type. Has predictive word a la autocorrect.
My dads disease progressed in the opposite of Gleesons, loosing the ability to walk and use his arms fingers at all, but kept his voice. We used the machine for my dad to be able to surf, the net, post to facebook, blog etc. Was an AMAZING device in keeping my dad in touch with friends, family, and the ALS community, he and Gleeson talked regularly.
