Some people just can't let go of the past.

quote:I really wasn't thinking like that. I was thinking about Joe Morgan with his DUI and getting hurt. Also, Nick Toon dropping some crucial passes this year, however the Saints worked Devery out this year and decided he is done. It's all good. He had a decent career with LSU & Saints!

He's had just about the best hometown hero career a guy could ask for.
He literally lived out every kids dream. Went to the best school in his state. Started on their football team. Responsible for one of their most memerable plays. Won a ring in college, then got drafted by the team in his home state. Then got a superbowl ring with them as well.
He is and always will be one of my all-time favorite Saints. From the days when Brooks was here and he couldnt catch a pass in the numbers to save his life; but he could double backflip, on the sideline, nab the pass, on the back shoulder, and land inbounds, and on his feet stable enough to run a few more yards; to the time when Drew got here and he somehow learned to catch the football, i will never forget Devery. He never complained, he never bitched, he never showed off. He gave his blood sweat tears and heart to both LSU and the Saints.

He's on Devery Henderson Street in Opelousas, chillin.
He's not the D'onliest Henderson...He's D'every Henderson. My favorite player ever perhaps. Lead the NFL twice in yards per catch. In the record books forever! If he only would have had hands... I often wondered if he had vision problems.
Seemed like a humble guy, but never met him.

He also caught the pass that broke the Unitas record
..for a touchdown
..before a nationwide audience.
Good job Devery.

it's a drunk post methinks. Devery couldn't beat out Aldrick Robinson for a roster spot.
He's supervising at his truck wash
he owns that with Josh Reed and Kevin Faulk
