Excuse the frick out of me who's living through it now! I've had water in my house since Sunday, it'll be in there until later today.... Im sure in 9th ward math thats only 2-3 days!
We didnt wait for FEMA or National Guard to 'save' us we saved each other, many of us in Ascension took boats to Central and D Springs to do water rescues only to have our own houses flooded just days later! We're not accustom to having to wait for someone to take care of us so we're busy cleaning up our own homes and our neighbors homes, no matter their skin color! We're not waiting for the great savior Obama himself to do a pressconference. Hell he doesn't even give a shite about this, it doesnt fit his narrative to mention us!
frick you and your self riteous arse! My entire community is lost much like that of Livingston parish. Every school in our school district is flooded, most business are flooded (and none got looted), many lost EVERY frickING THING they own! But we don't make the news, we dont scream for someone else to take care of us, we get to work and we survive! We wont have Katrina victim syndrome and we have survivors syndrome!

Katrina went through the same thing. I went through this situation twice once with Katrina with all the national coverage and when I lived in Laplace with 0. We didn't bitch about it either. I'm sorry on what your going through I've been there. Don't focus on why the media isn't showing up because honestly a lot of bad comes with it. Til this day I still have people from all over the world ask me about Katrina and people want to drive around and see the damage.
