Throwing the package at the doorstep from the sidewalk is still a delivery.

We both have retirement accounts.

We honestly had trouble adding up debt and expenses to make 500K our number. We don't have a large mortgage and we own other property out right so we don't need a huge nest egg. 500K policies just seemed to keep falling in what we wanted to spend. That being around $100/month.

This is all initial inquiry. Our parents both have policies on us, but we just decided we need to jump in too...

I went with a $750k 30 yr term through met life. Costs about $112/month. I figure that by the time it runs out all my notes should be paid off and my kids will be out of college and on their own. At that point i shouldn't need a large policy.

Why not have them transfer the policies over to y'all and just pick up the payments? Why do they still need policies on y'all?

100 seems steep

my mom has one on me and pays 26,

plus I smoke, have aids and sickle cell etc.

Go to Farm Bureau before you piss away money for a fuzzy feeling, or just send it to me and I will call you from time to time and tell you everything will be fine.

My mom talked about doing just that, but she changed the beneficiary from her to our children and kept paying to do something "for them". It's a small policy she has had since I was a child. It's not in the arena of what we are wanting to buy value wise.

tell your wife you are getting the policy and get a duck lease instead.

If you worry about bad shite, it happens.
If you say frick it, it keeps the gris-gris away

See this is what I want to figure out. What's the best rate, and what do you sacrifice to get such a good rate service/policy wise.

Also, what's the best type of policy for my situation.
