I may be wrong, but IMO alot of this just screams work. Punk gripes about others going into business for themselves while basically going into business for himself during that press conference. Not that he's necessarily wrong in all that he said.

While I agree & that was my gut reaction, you bury the PPV and MJFs return with this, considering the storyline is Punk vs MJF for the belt.
That makes MJF a face. They just built a heel faction of like 7 guys for him. That doesn’t make sense booking wise.
And Punk either has a torn pec or torn tricep because he’s injury prone, shouldn’t be champ.
