Whether or not he doesn't deserve to be murdered. Take your racist overtones elsewhere

Only thing conclusive is the multiple shots after the first two.
And the time-gap between them.
That's the sketchy part.

He had a gun and was on the ground resisting arrest after 2 attempts to use non deadly force were unsuccessful. Sorry you don't like it, but deadly force is justified.
Again, I agree with this. I disagree that this video clearly shows him going for a gun as others have suggested. I disagree that this man deserved to die for his actions, but I also understand that his actions, under these circumstances, will likely result in his death. He is likely to blame for that, but people who think this should be celebrated are appalling.

The only disputed evidence is:
- He got tazed twice (which multiple witness are confirming, not just the cops)
- He had a gun (again multiple witnesses are confirming and the police state that in the video)
That isn't what is being disputed actually

I agree. But things happen quickly.

You can't shoot someone because they have a gun on them. Only when it's in their hand or when they're pulling it out.

It's ridiculous. I can call out Tangerine for his ridiculous takes, but the same should be done for others who have filled in the gaps with their own opinions and are spouting them off as fact.

It doesn't matter what he deserved. Thats what people are getting so caught up on.
He had a gun and was wrestling with the cops and refusing to cooperate. There is no "deserved" punishment for that situation. That would be a decision made in hindsight. In that situation your chances of getting shot go from 0.01% to 99%. Unfortunately odds weren't in his favor, but he put himself in that situation.

Some people here are really doing some serious reaching right now. Going to take one hell of a reason to justify shooting someone in the chest repeatedly after you already have him pinned down.

Yep. Bias allows people to create a narrative when there isn't one clear story. I don't see anything that suggests this was necessary or not.
Goes to show you that people will believe what they want.

bullshite. If someone has a gun and is resisting arrest and wrestling with you when non deadly force already failed then you can't wait for them to gain control of the situation. If you do that you are dead.

So did he have a gun or not?
Posted on 7/5/16 at 11:41 pm to TJGator1215
Was the dude a convicted felon with a firearm?

I'm prone to side with the cops here because even if he wasn't reaching for a gun, if one appeared from his pocket during the struggle then I don't fault them for doing what they needed to do. You cannot expect them to wait until his intentions are clear in a close quarters situation like that.
However, that video doesn't support or exclude any particular angle. To argue otherwise is ridiculous.

Multiple sources are saying he had a gun.
Even if he didn't have a gun. The cops are yelling that he has a gun and asking him to stop moving. He continued to resist. In their minds it really doesn't matter what facts develop later, their actions are justified by their belief at the time.
