I went to a dispensary Saturday and loaded up for the holidays. Will be attending the company’s Christmas party next month, which should be awesome.

Suck it, haters.

I’m telling you, it’s the golden goose politically.

Whichever party backs the federal legalization will sweep the elections. Sure Billy Grahams kid will have a fit. It’s worth doing for that reason alone.

If you look up the history of why marijuana is illegal all you can is laugh at the brainwashed that want to keep prohibition alive. The fear mongering has gotten old.

That’s why I would never touch that stuff. I just stick with PCP. Marijuana is just way too dangerous

I didn’t smoke for 30 years because of State required drug tested. Retired 5 years ago and now use again 2-3 times a week. Today’s pot is way more potent than the old days but it’s mighty good. I don’t see a downside. Relax and enjoy ??

You know, I like marijuana, but never liked marijuana enthusiasts that much.

No one asked me, but effects of cannabinoids on the serotonergic system are pretty unclear. Dopamine effects are better understood, but the endocannabinoid system has so much variation between people that it’s really hard to hone in on what exactly exogenous cannabinoids actually do. Serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine... mimicking anandamide (selective forgetting)... very interesting and understudied drug thanks to the federal government.

Annoying as hell.

What bothers Scruffy is their constant refusal to accept that marijuana can be addictive.

~9% of users will develop a substance use disorder. Caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol are all demonstrably and significantly worse and yet completely legal. That’s where the frustration comes from.

Be fair, Scruffy. I understand your frustration with the enthusiasts, but there are many many anti-pot groups that are annoying in the same breathe.

All the arguments against the usage is VERY hypocritical. And the anti-potters refuse to admit that. I think that’s why most enthusiasts keep beating the same drum.

And Scruffy isn’t pushing for prohibition.

He just wants people to stop lying about any of the addictive capabilities.
