I wonder what % of people say their pit was super gentle and sweet so that they don't look bad. I mean....who's gonna say their dog was a killing machine and they fricked up and let their kid go near it? Just a thought.

Valid point.

Considering it isn't a necessity, yes it is. You have about a 1 in 100 chance of your child being killed in a car crash. You are very selfish to take that kind of chance with your childs life.

This is just getting stupid now.

And last but the most annoying thing about labs is that they shed WAYYYYY to much to be considered a family household pet.

So accounting for about 70% of all fatal dog attacks annually is no biggy to you. But shedding is a deal breaker when it comes to being considered family pet material?

And there you have it folks, the logic of a Pitbull owner in his own words.

When did it become necessary to bring the kids shopping? get a babysitter. Like I said, there is a 1 in 100 chance of them being killed in a car crash. This is more likely than them being killed by any dog, yet you are very adamant on speaking out against certain dogs.

Still waiting on you to give me the Lab death numbers so I can do a compare and contrast to the Pit death numbers.

Actually it's about 1 in 9,225, still quite a bit higher than the chances of your child being killed by any dog.

I'm still waiting on you to tell me what is the number of acceptable deaths per year. If labs killed 5 babies per year on average, would that be acceptable?

Are you denying there isn't a greater chance of being killed in a car crash? Please explain how it is getting stupid. Why is it okay for you to put your child at risk, when it is not necessary, but not okay for me to have a pitbull?

All breeds are different and regardless of general characteristics of the breed; your mileage may very when it comes to an individual dog. But pits along with some other breeds should never be around small children, what happened is terrible but it falls on the adults shoulders

You are really stretching.

I'll say this then I'm done. Putting your kids in a car is no way the same thing as having them around a deadly animal. You even said yourself that you don't let the dogs around your kids. Are you never putting them in cars either? (your own stupid argument, not mine)

Its a rhetorical question, as I will not be back to respond to your answer.

ETA: Your words....

n. I don't let my 5 yr old or 1 yr old around the pits. Not because I am afraid that something will happen, but because I know what could happen. So, I minimized the risk to nill by not havingmy young kids around them. This is called responsible ownership.

If you honestly think that people who put their kids in a car are trashy, then that's your opinion

I can just as honestly think that you're trashy for having pitbulls

It's a free country, for now

And I am still waiting for you to show me the deaths done by pitbulls that have been proven and not by opinion. Your favorite site sure does like to say it was a pit, but can't even say if it was a male or female pit.

HOOK. Line. Sinker

All too often?? Well considering the same line of dogs have been in my family for almost 50 years since my mom was a child, I take my dog to go visit and play with his grand father and great grandfather that is still around, and not once In the entire 50 years of owning probably 20-30 dogs not ONCE has ONE single dog of my family had even ONE even MINOR incident of even a NIP that I am aware of. But but but these dogs can just turn at the blink of an eye for no reason and kill you and your whole family because it woke up that day wanting to....

All too often...

I am just using some of y'alls logic. It is easy to say stuff like you are trashy, parents are crappy, and things like that because they have a kid around a pitbull, but it is just an uniformed, ignorant opinion. We put our kids life at risk every single day for no real reason. People are pointing out one reason and thinking it is so against them to do something like that, yet the same people will put their own child at risk with other scenarios.

I never said that labs kill 5 kids yearly. I was just trying to figure out what your threshold was. Labs usually kill at least 1 person per year. Is that acceptable for the perfect family dog?
