Sorry, but I have a hard time believing almost half the population needs brain altering drugs to 'get through life'. It's a scam you bought into and now dealing with the repercussions. I hope it all works out, and congrats for getting off that manufactured trash.

Go fricking try it and let me know how it works for you. I was trying to genuinely help the op by relating my experience and the importance of his getting help, you had to bust up being a know it all

Further more, I had tried tapering before with little success. I was always left feeling like a slave to the medicine. I only went cold turkey after my spouse lost a job and the health care that went with it. So it wasn't really a choice. But hey you can save with the world with all you know, right.

bullshite. We have tons of studies and real life examples of success.

And we have plenty of cases of people hallucinating with brain zaps since the beginning.

Not sure what your point is. Mine is it works for some, but not others & ifs not for everybody.
Hate arguing semantics , carry on

Patience is the key when coming off a serious medication like SsRI.

Website Homework: THE ROAD BACK.

I've been on 60 mg Paxil : 17 years. I will be cutting back doses per my doctor's instruction. May take 9-12 months.

My doctor is monitoring this. He reduced me to 25 mg for two weeks. No problems whatsoeover. But going from 25 to 0 has me a little off. I'll be fine.

I mean, except for the demons.

I'm not a doctor but I have dealt with tapers before, why couldn't you go from like 25mg to 12.5mg for a week or two, and then down to 6mg for a week or so before you jump completely off if you having this level of side effects?

I started off with Zoloft, ended up on Cymbalta... total of about 10 years. Told doc I wanted to get off of it. He had me stop the Cymbalta immediately, but take one Prozac for 7 days. I did it and it worked without any withdrawals or side effects. Wish I had done this sooner. I felt like for years I didn't need the medication any longer, but always felt the side-effects if I missed 2-3 days... kinda assumed I'd always have to take. Been off of the meds for about 18 months now.

What you're missing in life can't be provided by a pill, you need to accept Christ into your heart

You cut too fast. What works for some or many may not work for you. Go from 25 to 12.5. Then 12.5 every other day.

Acupuncture can really help you from withdrawal believe it or not.
