Hard to find one under 30k that don’t have damn near 60+ thousand miles on it though. I agree, they just higher than I can go. I’d like a vehicle with less than 30 thousand miles
BUmp it up to ~50k miles and you'll find several. There isn't a huge difference in 30k miles and 50-60k miles on a Toyota engine. You may have to sacrifice some bells and whistles if you want a more recent model.
We;ve been looking in that price range and have seen several Highlanders and a few Lexus RX 350s at around 50k miles. The Lexus's have been 2016 models, which was the last year of the old body style. Wife prefers the newer body style Lexus though, and we just haven't found the right one yet. She's picky about color, both interior and exterior.

Forester yes. A brand new Outback would be the poverty grade model. Maybe look at a CPO model
Yeah. Just stating that's it's doable. If it's not an immediate need it may be worth waiting until the 22 models come out and pick up a new 21 model at a discount and upgraded package.

Try a used CRV or RAV4.
Neither of these are SUVs, they are crossovers.

They are literally categorized as compact Sport Utility Vehicles.

They're definitely SUV's.

Says who? The marketing folks at the manufacturer???
They are not body on frame and not available in rear wheel drive, thus they are not SUVs.
Not saying they are not good little vehicles, but they are not SUVs, sorry.
FYI Wikipedia has them both classified as crossovers.

If you could find a used Highlander I’d suggest that. My wife has one , great suv

Bought my wife a '19 Pathfinder with 8'000 miles on it in this price range, last May. Great so far.

Actually, wiki has them both listed as crossover SUV's.

You could probably compare that with your local carmax.

You can buy her a new camry for that money.

Exactly. Because they aren’t true SUVs
If you want to call your front wheel drive, unibody vehicle an SUV to make you feel better go right ahead. Carry on.

Nice, thank you

You can die on that hill. I don't care. I'm not going to let a vehicle classification threaten my manhood. They're both great vehicles. I'd pick the Honda, myself. More interior space and probably a little better resale value.

Yea they are fairly reputable. I bought a vehicle from them about 8 years ago that was fine. I'd ask them what after market features they put in themselves, though. The car I bought had headrest TVs that I didn't know at the time was added by them after purchasing. The TVs were really the only problem I had with the vehicle.

You can get AWD CRV
But yeah. A CRV is a crossover
A Pilot is a SUV.
Both are very nice vehicles
