That's what I was afraid of.
My father has had back issues since 25 and he's an a-hole. After hurting like this, (and my mother tells me he hurts like this everyday) I can begin to see why.
Or maybe he's just naturally a grumpy arse.

I would also recommend for you to read about what vitamin D deficiency does in relation to back pain.

Duly noted. Start taking vitamin D supplements?

I take vitamin D over the counter but my dr monitors levels. He recommends the correct dosage.

Is too much Vitamin D bad for you or is it like Vitamin C where you can take all you want?

I have a catch in my neck and I feel a little dizzy. Anyone else remember that old ambulance chasing attorney commercial in BR?

I'm pretty sure that was a Gavin chiropractic commercial.

Your attorney should be wiling to front your medical cost since they will all be reimbursable. If he won't find a new one.

Vitamin D is fat soluble (harder for your body to get rid of) and Vitamin C is water soluble (easier for your body to get rid of), which is why you have to be very careful with fat soluble vitamins.

Fat soluble means it gets deposited into your liver and fatty tissue and can lead to toxicity in high doses.

You should be in pretty good hands. A little advice...listen to your attorney and do what he says. Also keep a journal of events. It will help later down the line when you have tongontnrough depositions.

I've been keeping track of things, writing them down on my phone.

Waiting to see what he says. He called to say it looked like I had herniated discs and that the insurance company was dragging their feet

Remember the insurance company is not responsible to pay any damages unless a court of law says they have too. That being said they will settle but they have to know your willing to go to trial. Quality settlements take time. Your in the first month of the process be patient. My wreck happened 11 months ago and my attorney's filed the suit this month.

It sucks but that is not uncommon. Especially for situations where it's a higher limit policy and/or a significant injury. Like he said, just gotta be patient and let your team do their jobs while you focus on getting better. Everything will be fine in the end.

My thoughts:
Request to see a neurosurgeon at Neuromedical center
Don't see why some people are hating on epidurals in this thread. It is an effective therapeutic and diagnostic treatment and should be attempted before surgery in most cases
Soma is a shitty muscle relaxer. It gets people high and is addictive so patients love to request because it has a euphoria effect.
When lawyers are involved after a back injury, expect everything to be delayed.

To the guy 2 pages back that is getting a spinal cord stimulator trial. You need to look at having a surgical procedure done before you want to put one of those things in your spine. That is a last resort after failed back surgery.

This is a phrase I've heard a lot, but not clear as to what exactly it means.
I haven't been able to go to work, have tried my damnedest to not strain my back anymore than I have to. (Which is problematic because every time I feel a little relief I tend to want to try and push it to see how far I can go [not far] and I end up with it hurting even worse.)
But circumstances aren't really allowing me to do much in the meantime.

less than one month out, you are still in acute phase of back pain. MRI with nothing but mild disc bulge requires conservative care only. Hopefully resolved within 3 months for your sake. If not, welcome to the world of chronic back pain that millions and millions of people suffer from on daily basis.
