Keep doing these. I'll follow you anywhere.

If you're saying that a bench press on a traditional bench is going to work more muscles than performing a press on a smith machine I'm not going to argue with you. You are absolutely correct.
But for PF fitness purposes and for an overwhelming majority of people who work out in gyms and aren't interested in body building or power lifting, a smith machine will do just fine for their routines.
Squats and deadlifts are definitely tricky in a smith machine because of the unnatural motion it makes you follow but I wouldn't worry about that for bench/incline and military press.

B/c they give most fit people the boot
I mean really its a amazing marketing plan for the people who do the I want to get fit but don't really put the time and effort into it.

I read that too that the lunk alarm is a joke and PF gets tons of hate on message boards everywhere but each PF is individually run.. The one that opened up on Siegen has jacked dudes all up in the place and of the times I've went, never heard the alarm go off yet.
Roids are all up in PF just like the UREC.
But yeah a brilliant marketing plan.. For the year it comes out to $150, that's dirt.

I'm going to take a quick tour of the place after work and get the scoop.
I just want a place that has equipment to use that isn't broken or looks like it was obtained from the front of someone's driveway

They have like 3,000 members at one location of whom about 100-125 workout regularly (4-5 times per week). But when that $30 fee hits in August, it covers a LARGE % of the annual costs.
I don't doubt that it's a great revenue source for them, but I can't believe that bringing in $90k covers all that much. It's a nice chunk of change, but $90k doesn't go that far in a large leased facility with multiple employees/etc.
