Had me limping for a month. Trouble walking then the other side of my foot began to ache because of the way I had to adjust to it. Excruciating but went away for me.

Do you have limited range of motion in your knees, or Achilles' tendon issues? Just curious. Inability to fully extend the knee are often the root cause of MN and Achilles' tendon problems. Makes you stand on your toes.

Over the past 15 years, I've been getting steroid shots that seems to work for 4-5 years. Before the doctor got ultrasound, it would be a blind shot that sometimes missed the mark, and would need a follow up soon after. With the ultrasound, it was pretty cool to see that ball of nerves pop up and down between the bones. Even the slightest change in surface like a toilet rug could trigger it.

Only thing the doctor will do is take your money.

Change shoes, stretch, exercise, fast for a day. Costs $0. You will be cured.

Cut a tear shaped pad and put it between the head of the two metatarsals (the affected one and the non affected one). This will cause the heads of the two metatarsals to splay apart relieving the nerve from being entrapped between the two metatarsals. This will help A LOT. You can thank me later

I’ve had this occur twice. It fealt like I had cotton balls in my sock. My symptoms went away in less than a day with no reoccurrence after the last time. It does feel weird though.
Good luck.

ROM is fine and my Achilles Tendons are fine. It kind of popped up in one foot then again in the other. Stayed the second time.
