Yard sales are not trashy, the people that go to them can be. I don't see any problem with a yard sale. Its a great way to get rid of a lot of stuff and make a few bucks.

When is the last time you went to a yard sale? Think about that. It's redneck antiquing.

I've always found it kind of funny that the HOA's oppose yard sales because they bring "the wrong sort of people" into the neighborhood, yet 90% of the yard and housework is being done by illegals. Sure, they're welcomed to spend their days working here, just so long as they don't feel extra welcomed.

Be prepared to deal with the scum of the earth. 90% will just annoy the shite out of you trying to get shite for free. I had one once and just told people no sale if they annoyed me with their complaining. Would rather give it to the needed than get hassled by some scum. And I set prices really low to just get rid of it

All of this. Be prepared to deal with everyone haggling and bitching until you lower the price or just give it to them.

If your time is worth less than a few bucks you might or might not make, you are pure trash.

Ain't got nothing to do with being trashy or not. Women enjoy going to and having garage sales. It's just that simple. Don't try to understand it.

I always set the price higher than I actually wanted for it so the dumbasses would haggle down and give me what I would've asked for in the first place. They think they got a deal and I got paid. It works. Try it fellow trashy yards sellers

If you do, just put your street in the ad, and you will tie balloons on your mailbox when it begins. If not, you will have douchebags knocking on your door at 4 am wanting to look at shite.

Why not just start the prices where you want and put a sign up saying " All prices firm/ Not negotiable"?

Then you could eliminate the BS.

If you live in a trashy neighborhood, yes. Otherwise, proceed.

I prefer to go to yard sales, buy the items that are priced well below market rates, and sell them for profit.

I have made tens of thousands of dollars doing that.

As far as having them... I dont want a bunch of poors casing my house.

Just goes to show you don't have much money. (Nothing is wrong with that though) We just give our stuff away to the maids.

No. The only ones I've ever been to were in really nice neighborhoods. Those people buy too much shite and sell their old shite.
