A set of those would be orgasmic on a 4 hour interstate road trip

First question is where are you going to drive it? Off-road or highway
What percentage of off road to highway driving?
Then what type of off road? Mud, sand or Rock

Not even, the hardest thing this will ever drive over is the curb.

You didn’t buy a rack like mine... Mine can’t rip out like that one did due to the backing plate inside the rail. If it’s the one I’m thinking of they use a square nut thing inside the rail that can and did pull out. If my stuff rips out it’s going to make a mess.

Who’s crossbar is that? LFD? If so, their setup is twice as expensive as mine. I was actually going to buy their setup and realized I could design something better for a lot cheaper.

KO2s have a lot of complaints with rain performance/hydroplaning. If you're in LA or a place with a lot of rain, I'd look at the Coopers AT3/ATP
I put KO2’s on my wife’s Gladiator the same week it was delivered.

Two weeks later, we were coming over the 210 bridge during the construction in a rain shower. As we topped the bridge at about 50mph, traffic was stopped and we had to brake hard. We stopped with a pretty comfortable space between us and the car in front of us. The Honda Odyssey behind us and the Chevy Silverado behind it, didn’t. We got rear ended in a two week old vehicle, twice. Luckily, we still had the big pintle hitch in so there was zero damage done to her Jeep.

It looks similar. Basically metal cross bars in between existing rails. I realize the attachment point isn't the same

Yes LFD. I have to send them these pictures and discuss some type of reimbursement. Hopefully they will be willing to work something out.

Are you selling your rack design?

Cooper AT3 LT on my 2018 TRD Off Road. Ride well, beat the heck out of the stock Nitto Terra Grapplers. Went with C rated as I think E rated on T4R is overkill.

To side track on building your own roof rack, check out sites like 8020 or tnutz (real site I promise) for extruded aluminum bars and attachments/hardware.

I only supply the brackets. The bars can be purchased from Tnutz. I couldn't beat their price on the bars.
